Recording of unknown and never recorded songs by Jean Richafort

In January and February, Cappella Mariana will be recording the first of three CDs dedicated to the neglected great of the French Renaissance, Jean Richafort, for the Musique en Wallonie label.

Jean Richafort is considered the most outstanding disciple of Josquin Desprez and a continuation of the Franco-Flemish school, most of his work is unknown to a wider musical audience.

The first CD in the announced trilogy will include his Masses O Genitrix and Veni Sponsa.
