The concert will be dedicated to the memory of Lenka Hlávková

As part of the FOK Early Music series, Capella Mariana will present a programme including works by contemporary composers such as Arvo Pärt and Martin Smolka. For the concert, which will take place on 20 February at the Church of Sts Simon and Jude, the ensemble has invited the Goeyvaerts Trio from Belgium and organetto player Catalina Vicens.

The February concert of Cappella Mariana will be dedicated to the memory of Lenka Hlávková and all the victims of the tragic shooting at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. The programme will include, among others, the composition Virgo restauratrix by Johannes Tourout. The discovery and popularisation of the work of this Flemish composer is part of the rich legacy of musicologist Lenka Hlávková.
