hroughout history, the Czech capital has been an important cultural centre which developed during the Middle Ages and
Renaissance into a busy hub of European culture.

This specifc role of the city then contributed to the birth of a uniquemusic culture that produced exceptional musical artefacts, many of which remain unduly neglected.
